What is “Bikes on the Bricks”?

Bikes on the Bricks was founded in 2007 and has become the premier biker event in Flint, Michigan. Bikes features a bike show, police skills competition, food and merchandise vendors, and a police escorted ride – everything for the avid motorcycle enthusiast!  Proceeds from the ride are donated to charitable organizations in the Flint Metro Area.

Where is Bikes on the Bricks?

The event takes place in downtown Flint conveniently located off I-69 and I-475.

When is Bikes on the Bricks?

What are the details on the ride?

The police-escorted ride is Saturday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. Intersection blockers are placed along the route through Genesee County, speed limits vary up to a maximum of 40mph. Registration is at Vehicle City Harley-Davidson from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., when the ride departs. The ride concludes in Downtown Flint at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Where is Vehicle City Harley Davidson located?

Vehicle City Harley-Davidson is located at 2400 Austins Parkway in Flint just northeast of the Miller Road exit off I-75.

Do I receive a ticket to participate in the ride?

You will receive a wristband to participate in the ride.

Is there an additional cost if I have a passenger?

Yes, it is a $10 charge for each rider and passenger.

Where can I purchase a ride wristband?

Prior to the event, you may purchase a ride wristband at Vehicle City Harley Davidson or Top End Cycle which is located at 3360 S. Dort Highway in Burton.  Day-of wristband purchases can only be made at Vehicle City Harley-Davidson.

Is there a discount if I purchase my ride wristband early?

No.

Do I get preferential placement for the ride if I buy my ride wristband early?

No.

Do you offer any group discounts?

No.

Do you offer any Military/Veteran, Student/Senior, Police/Fire discounts?

No.

If I am unable to attend can I get a refund?

No, we do not offer refunds and all sales are final.

Do you offer refunds if the ride is cancelled due to inclement weather?

No, we do not offer refunds and all sales are final.

If the ride is cancelled due to inclement weather, when will I find out?

Cancellation will be announced prior to the start of the ride at Vehicle City and/or at the main event in downtown Flint.

Is there special bike parking for ride participants in Downtown Flint?

Yes, participates will have designated parking when the ride enters downtown Flint.

Do I have to purchase a ticket to attend the event?

No! It’s completely free-of-charge.

Is there a registration fee to enter my bike in the show?

No! It’s completely free-of-charge.

Is the event appropriate for children?

Yes! Bikes on the Bricks is a family-friendly event.

Can civilians participate in the police skills competition?

No. Due to safety and liability issues, this is an officer-only event.

Who can participate in the police skills competition?

Only active uniformed police officers can participate. Please click HERE for the official event rules.

Do police officers have to register to participate?

Yes, to register, please click HERE.

Is there a cost to participate in the police skills competition?

No! It’s completely free-of-charge.

Are there food and merchandise vendors at the event?

Yes! Food and merchandise is available for sale at the start of the ride and through Vehicle City’s onsite Classic Diner.

Are credit cards accepted at the event?

Credit cards are accepted at designated Bikes on the Bricks booths for merchandise as well as in the beer tent.  Card acceptance at non-Bikes sponsored food and merchandise booths is at individual vendor discretion, so be sure to have adequate cash on hand.

Can I put a “For Sale” sign on my bike?

Yes! You are welcome to offer your bike for sale during the event.

Can I bring my dog to the event?

No, for the safety of your animal it is not recommended due to the hot pavement, large number of bikes, and crowds.
